Ares soared high over the evergreen tree-tops his feathery wings unheeded as they easily glided through through the air. He could remember when even an easy flight like this one would be marauded by enemies and attacks. The ebony wolf wolf swooped upward above the fluffy clouds and into the open sky. The big wolf closed his amber eyes and he felt the breeze against his fur. The sun on his scarred face. He had a story to tell, a story that should be remembered and you are lucky enough to hear it. Bask in the tale and let it be known of what you've heard.

"Do it again, Jokai." Ares sighed, leaning against the truck of a gnarled oak tree. He wore a bored expression as he watched the dusky gray wolf do sloppy twirls in the air. "You style is flawed!" he barked. Jokai eased himself into a heavy land a looked over helplessly at his trainer. "I don't know what I'm doing, sir, could you show me again?" The ebony wolf growled in a annoyance and leaped into the breezy air. He took in a big breath of air, his lungs filling with the scents of all the other wolves that had already been flying. The big wolf felt as free as a feather, and more alive then he would ever feel on the ground. He began to warm up his wings by doing intricate swirls around the other wolves in the sky. Today, was the day of training, every wolf in the kingdom came with an apprentice to train and trade skills with others. Ares did a swooped around the great stone castle. He was the ruler of this land, it was all his. The plains, and the deep forest where humans lurked. The ebony wolf dipped and glided within inches of the mint green grass. His belly fur brushed against the cool dew and he rose into the air once more. "Okay, Jokai! Watch this time!" he howled, down to his gray apprentice who was patiently waiting of the trodden ground below them. (will continue later)
