Melted Ice sniffed the air. This place was foreign to him. He hadn't minded Thunderclan, it was peaceful and there were other cats to converse with. Not out here, where he was alone. His eyes narrowed a slight. He wondered how his daughter was doing, he hadn't known her well. She was there... and that was about it.
He sighed padding on looking for something to do. He looked to the sky, shivering at the cold. The softness of these forest cat had worn off on him. He didn't get as cold as they did, but still. His homeland, and trek over the barrens had tuffened him. But when you live with savage wolves and each day you have to worry asbout becomming a snack you start to harden. The trek over the barrens was harsh and nearly killed him.
He looked up to the sky, he wandered on searching for a shelter for the night.

Melted Ice padded onwards. That trek had tought him much. As well as being through many experiences he could survive out here better than most. Huffing lightly he looked upwards gazing at the trees. Pine tree...Pine tree... There! he thought. Padding further he pushed his way through some bushes that were brown from winter.
Padding up to the pine tree he padded around. Snow was covered up to the bottom branch. Which was perfect, pawing at some loose snow he formed a hole. Pushign his way through it he entered a shelter of warmth and dry ground.
Pine trees were excelent shelter, there slanted branches kept snow away from the trunk, and provided a circle of dry land. And the snow was insalation. So under here it was much warmer than out there. Providing perfect shelter for him.
Melted Ice let out a small sigh, Thunderclan was smart.... but if they knew some stuff like this they would fare better. He hopped his daughter was safe. Hopefully he had taught her enough.
Layind down on the pine-needle ground her curled up in a gray ball. His tail wrapped over his nose he closed his eyes for sleep.

He closed his eyes. He tried to block out any noise from outside. The wind that moved like a whip. The snow falling. Any animals that were brave enough to venture out in this. He wanted it gone. He almost wished he was home.
Home... where was that to him? Was it where you were born and raised? Where you lived currently? Or was it where your family lived. If it was the first one, and part of the last one he was dead. No going back there. He opened his eyes. It was pointless to sleep with these thoughts parading around. Melted Ice sat upwards leaning against the frozen bark of a tree.
He was at least great-ful for the barrens. If he was stupid enough to go back at least those would be a blocker. He couldn't go back to the clans. The only reason would be to be with his daughter. And to stay here.... he groaned. At least back to his origins there was something to do, even if that something to do was staying alive. But he also had a job and a purpose. Ups and downs. Then again any ups had a down. His job was to kill. He closed his eyes, he breifly remembered his last assingment. Well he remembered his last assingment that he finished.
Birch and he were to kill a pup of the alpha of another pack. They did so. It was simple. Maybe not enjoyable. But the next one was his last. It was so long ago, and he had done his best to push it away that he forgot. Alls he remembered was dragging Birch away. She was in a horrible state. He knew she wouldn't live and neither would he. They had failed. The best he could hope for was to ask for her to be burried or thrown in a pit. Than run.
And he did, but his hopes were feeble. He ahd to paths. Run to another pack, and be eaten there. Or go through the barrens and hope to live. He went with the barrens.

He vaguely remembered that time. He had ran as fast as he could untill he left the territory. The barrens, rocks and dirt. No plants, no water, no shelter, only emptyness. It stretched far and wide. Any who entered never returned... alive. Birds and vultures picked them up, that was the only time life entered. They usualy brought them back. Melted Ice wondered if Fang, the leader of the group of wolves that had gained power of his group, he wondered what that wolf's suprisement of him not being brought back. He mostly likely thought some scavenger kept him and that was it. He almost smiled at the thought of how suprised that wolf owuld be of seeing him. But the suprise wouldn't be worth nothing, he would be dead within a heartbeat. Melted Ice hunched his shoulders lightly befor deciding to curl up and try to sleep again. Closing his eye's he tries to fall asleep. And soon horrors of dreams begin.
