Owlstar trudged through the snow like it was a faint breeze on a moor. His single eyes are narrowed to the smallest of slits and his temper was flaring and rising with like a burning tide of fire. He snarled at the snow and he took long leaps through the belly deep frost. He didn't know where he was going but he didn't care. The snow clumped up in his thick ginger fur and it was getting so uncomfortable that he finally stopped to chew at the icy lumps on fur. He ripped at his pelt then looked across his frozen river and he began to rant with reason to be spoken off. "I was run out of my camp! Fools! Rebels!" he snarled. He lashed out his anger to across the river at the snow laden forest. "Look at those reeking Thunderclan cats! Cozy in their little forest, and their little squirrels. They've never done anything for Riverclan!" He bit back the comment as soon as it left his lips, "Well, maybe they aren't so bad, but I don't have to like that." The old ginger tom heaved a stress filled sigh and laid in the cold snow barely visible.

Blueefire willed her self to speak out. "Were not that bad," she retorted from the tree-line. She slanted her eyes against the wind as she looked for his figure "Why would we have to help you anyway," That was probaly one of the boldest things she had ever done. Speak out to a rival clan's leader. Was she nuts? To late now....

Owlstar's broad head popped up through the snow his brow creased. He shook sparse flakes of snow from his broad head and he hefted himself to his paws. He looked out at the she-cat who stood on her side of the river. At first he glared at her with fire in his heart, but it soon melted away. What reason did he have to be angry with her? He gave a cold shake, and glanced at her. "I don't know." he murmured and raised his head, "What are you doing here?"

She sucked in a deep breathe of crispt cold air. It burned her lungs, she gazed at him for a moment, she was nev er this close to the riverclan leader befor not even at gatherings. She scuffled her paws, "Well..." she drifted off into the thought trying to think of something to say. Darn Shyness. "I'm still on my side of the border," she snapped, even though it didn't sound harsh to her.
She looked downwards "Or i could ask the same of you," she said while glaring at her paws. She hadn't been yelled at, yet.

The Riverclan cat on his haunches and he tilted his head. He looked at her a moment before adverting his single eye gaze to a dark cloud in the sky. He shuffled his numbing paws and flicked his torn ears. He didn't now why he spoke to one of another clan. He was a warriors, a cat of action of war and blood splashed the ground. The veteran grunted and looked at her again and straightened his head. "I don't think I should tell you of the problems of Riverclan." He sat warily, and then his whiskered twitched in interest. "I'm Owlstar." he mewled in a surprisingly milky town, and he shook his head and look leader like again.

She looked up, "I'm Blueefire," she answered she twitched her cold tail "Nice to meet you Owlstar," She felt herself quaver as she spoke. She looked back to her paws batting aimlessly at the crusted snow.

Owlstar's eye flickered from place to place awkwardly and he scoffed at the snow until it uncovered the bits of dead grass beneath it. "So... um... Hows prey running?" he asked trying to spark a conversation or something, he lifted his head and stared at her openly.

Her jaw fell ajar for a seccond befor she snapped it closed. He was trying to start a conversation with her, a cat of another clan? She twittled her paw "As well as it can get with this cold," she paused slightly regretting her words. They showed a twinge of weakness.

His stubby tail flicked in the snow and he stood stretching his cold limbs. "Well as you can see my river is frozen so you can guess how we're doing." He replied bitterly, it wasn't pointed at her, but it was heavy was stress of how the river fed cats would survive this terrible river. Owlstar warily put his mangled paw on the solid ice. He could vaguely see the fish beneath the ice toying with his mind and body, weak from hunger. In agony of the situation feebly clawed at the surface as if hoping it would just shatter.

She took a small step to go comfort him but froze. Yep, she was nuts. She was prepared to go comfort a rival cat, a leader at that. She opened her mouth to speak, her words never came. She shut it as she inched closer to the river, but carefull not to push her limits she peered over looking down at the ice. She never gave the river much thought, it didn't honestly concern her. She looked up, this cat appeared so frustrated that it hurt her. She opened her mouth to speak again but was a lost at words.

Owlstar looked up, she seemed closer now. He nervously drew back and studied her carefully. Did she actually...care? He was so unsure of the world these days and on a cold leafbare day he finally meets someone cared. Or at least what he thought was to be caring. He tilted his head in confusion, and he felt something deep in the very confines of his dark heart, something that made his world seem a bit more hopeful but he couldn't speak. His mouth was shut tight and he didn't know why. The clever cat had always been able to worm out of difficult situations but this was different.

Blueefire drew a paw back at his movement. She felt even more unsure as this cat studdied her, she meant to move back but her paws were caught along the snow and when she moved it jerked her back. She landed not to gracefully flat on her face, looking more like a fool.

He stifled the smallest of chortles and he slid across the snow encrusted ice nearly landing on his hind quarters once or twice. Then, with the use of his seven hooked he steadily padded the rest of the way, every once in awhile he lifted his paw upward as he felt a frigid puddle of slush from where the ice was not as thick as the rest of the river. As he finally reached the thunderclan she-cat he nearly stopped in his tracks but with great effort he gently nuzzled her to help her regain her footing in the icy snow.

She pushed upwards with her paws and iwth Owl's help manged to get to a sitting position. Her skinf felt hot with embarresement "Thanks," she mumbled quietly.
Blueefire looked up realising how close Owlstar was and her eyes opened in shock.

The big ginger tom sheepishly turned away and shuffled his paws not realizing he was still very much on the ice. With a strong gust of wind added to his unnecessary paw movement he managed to yelp and slide onto his stomach and glide across the freezing ice. He was splayed out, the cool ice melting beneath his heated body. He tried to lift himself up with his paws but he fell once more and did a little spin on the slippery surface. He scowled as he failed badly at getting up.
