Owlstar jumped up onto a tall pillar of stone, momentarily licking his chest fur before announcing the clan meeting. "All cats old enough to catch their own prey come beneath high rock for a clan meeting!" He yowled to the clearing.
The old cat waited a moment as the clan cats grouped near the base of the rock, he twitched his stub of a tail once and raised his head again. "Today, we shall add another cat to the warrior den! So let us not make them wait another moment!" He called out, "I, Owlstar, leader of kugyay call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice! She has trained hard to understand the noble ways of the warrior code, and I commend her as a warrior in turn!
"Cherrypaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code even at the cost of your life?" Owlstar asked grimly.
Birdwing's eyes stretched wide in disbelief. Cherrypaw wasn't at her own ceremony!
"yes owlstar" meowed cherrypaw
"Then, by the powers of Starclan, I give you your warrior name! Cherrypaw, from this moment on you shall be known as Cherryleaf! Starclan honors your fighting spirit and bravery! We welcome yout o kugyay as a warrior!" He rested his head on Cherryleaf's head.
*licks owls shoulder*
"Cherryleaf!Cherryle af!"she chanted.[wildheart]
Birdwing, although her head throbbed from all the whinning and caterwaulling from the cats within this clearing, threw her head back and called out Cherryleaf's new name, "Cherryleaf! Cherryleaf! Cherryleaf!"
CHERRYLEAF! CHERRYLEAF! CHERRYLEAF! *he chanted* [Sootchaser]
