Fawnfur pads in with her vole and thrush. She places them on the fresh-kill pile and then went to the warriors den. She pads back in,her fur still glossy from her earlier grooming.
Rosepaw jumped in, brandishing a freshly killed vole. "I caught it!" she gloated through the prey's fur. "It was tough, but the critter didn't suspect a thing!"
"Thats great,Rosepaw,"Fawnf ur purred, her silver eyes gleaming with amusement.
Oakgrove pushed her way in, her eyes tired. She looked over to Rosepaw. She was about to groan but forced her self to smile "There you are!"
"Greetings,Oakgrove. "
Oakgrove nodded her brown head to Fawnfur, "Greetings." Trying to sound forcefull and authority like Oakgrove turned to Rosepaw "Did you do that elder's den like I asked?"
Rosepaw shifted her dark green eyes at her mentor, and she dropped her Vole into the foodpile momentarily ignoring her mentor. Then, she lifted her head, "Fawnfur and my mother had already cleaned the den out, there wasn't much left to do."
Fawnfur turned around and groomed her pelt.
Oakgrove stuttered trying to think of a reply, but all that came was a mere "Oh," Trying to think of something "You took care of the nursery right?"
The apprentice paused, "You didn't say anything about the nursery, Oakgrove." Rosepaw mewed wearily, turning around to face her mentor.
Oakgrove shook her head "Yes, I did. And if I didn't you should have thought of to do it," in a lower voice she added "With your attitude that day I wouldn't have been surprised if you hadn't been listening,"
Fawnfur paused in her grooming and padded to the warriors den.
"Oh..." The she-cat watched Fawnfur leave the clearing, realizing she was now alone with her mentor. "Well, you had knocked my head around... thats all..." She flattened her ears slightly.
Oakgrove grumbled irritated, "Will you at lest help me clear out the nursery?"
"Well, what about the queens and kits? You don't expect them to just up and move do you?" She replied smartly.
Oakgrove sunk her claws into the ground. "Fine.
"If you don't want to do any work why don't you go to the apprentice den and sleep. And you can do the same thing tomorrow since apparently you aren't intersted in aprentice duties. Well wait. If your not intersted in any of this why don't you go back to the nursery," Whirling around the brown warrior bounded out of camp, heading to the woods.
Rosepaw bristled slightly in indignation her eyes her tail lashed and she sulked toward the apprentice's den.
"Humph! I never said I wasn't willing to... I was just pointing out the obvious..." The she-cat grumbled before falling asleep.
