Wind Chaser swiftly cut across a small clearing in the forest and from the woods he spied a tall, regal looking stone that over looked the clearing where Owlstar had said Snow was. He took special care not to trip over roots or stones. The tom neared the rock and with surprising luck he leaped from the ground and landed squarely on the rock. A surprised look spread across his face, seeing that he did not fall or hurt himself. With a shake of his brown and white head he raised himself proudly, and at that moment he lost his footing and fell down the rock to roll onto Snow's paws.
Snow laughed and licked him. "Get up." She purred.
He stood up shaking his fur, quickly he checked himself for injury or wounds. He found none and looked at Snow with dancing green eyes.
"Wind Chaser, I have something to tell you."
His ears flicked and he looked at her with undivided attention. Then, a rather pretty golden yellow butterfly attracted his attention from what she was going to say but he shook his head and looked at her ignoring a insect that crawled a few foxlengths away.
Snow purred, licking Wind Chaser, not even annoyed at how he changed his attention to the creature and back. She reached forwards. "I'm pregnant." She meowed.
His head tilted to the side slightly, his green eyes squinted. "What?" The sleek cat took a moment to reflect and he grinned from ear tip to ear tip. "Thats wonderful Snow!" he cried in excitement, burrowing his muzzle into her soft fur. A rumbling purr came from deep inside his throat.
Snow purred, licking him. "I'm glad we can both be happy. i was worried you'd be upset." She purred.
Wind Chaser purred louder and looked her in the eye. "Who in the world could get upset with you around!" He pressed his flank against hers and smiled, his warm smile.
Snow smiled and buried her head into his fur, purring her head off. "No one could frown with you around."
Snow laughed and rolled over.
Wind Chaser laughed and laid down next to her, he licked her nose. "When did you know you were expecting?"
"Just recently." She smiled.
"Thats good." He looked up, "Do you need any prey or water?" Wind Chaser asked getting to his paws, "Anything at all?"
Snow shook her head. "No, thank you." She smiled. "I'll be fine." She laughed, licking him.
"Oh... okay." He laid down next to her again and dozed.
Snow smiled, falling asleep.
