The brown female thunderclan she-cat entered the clearing. Her eyes flashed, as she looked around uneasily. She shuddered lightly, old memories flickering into her mind. Stop she told her self. Straightening up she bounded off towards a patch of grass that looked comfortable.
Fire padded into the small clearing, twitching his whiskers and yawning. He smiled, licking a forepaw and bringing it over his head.
Oakgrove slipped from a sitting position to a laying position. Grunting she breathed in, catching the scent of other thunderclan cats. She winced. She truly didn't know what she did to earn a dislike from her leader.
Fire's ears suddenly drooped. He'd told his siblings yesterday about their mother. He remembered his younger siblings happy faces grow sad, and hoped he would see his father again. Not Bramble, but Wind Chaser, the father he had known.
Oakgrove twitched her nose. Raising her gaze from her paws she scanned the clearing. She paused and looked at Fire that Burns Brightly. She looked back to her paws, feeling heat rush to her face in embaressment.
He paused, catching a she-cats eye and stared at her, watching her turn away quickly. He put his head to the side, rose to his paws and walked towards her. He stopped as Dappledleaves approached. "Hello, your Dappledleaves, right?" He kept glancing at Oakgrove.
Oakgrove risked another look at him. She blinked as she spotted the other she-cat, oh. Grunting she rested her head on her paws gloomily.
"My names Fire... What's yours?" He meowed.
Oakgrove shifted from paw to paw, "I-I'm Oakgrove,"
"Err, are you... alone?" He asked. He didn't want some stranger attacking him for talking to her.
Oakgrove glanced towards the shadows having the same thought. She flinched as she thought of him, "K-kinda,"
Fire was confused. Why was SHE scared? "What's wrong? Is the cat your mate?" he could scent it was a tom.
Oakgrove shook her head, "N-not realy," She sighed and looked at her paws. "He freed me..."
"Freed you? Then why do you fear him?"
Oakgrove shuddered. She glaned around nervously. "Well he might come back," She flinched lightly. "He said he was done with me for the moment,"
Tell me, whats wrong?" Fire was utterly hopeless.
Oakgrove shuddered again. "H-he just wasn't very nice," She mumbled. Thats an understatement She thought to her self.
"He freed you but was not nice?" Fire was still confused. He stared at her before glancing at the shadows.
Oakgrove shook her head, "Just forget about it," She shrugged her shouldders. With a slight snort she plopped back down in a sitting position. "Thats all I want to do,"
"Err, okay?" He meowed.
Oakgrove looked to her paws. He thinks I'm some freak She sighed softly. "So your name is Fire... nice name,"
"Actually it's Fire that Burns Brightly... Your Oakgrove yes? I like it..." He murmured, staring at his paws again.
Spiraleyes slunk out from the shadows. He let out a long and drawn hiss as he spotted Oakgrove with that other tom. "Oak!" he snarled, "Get over here!" he ordered.
Oakgrove looked at Spiraleyes. Horror filled her body. She let out a terrified squeak and took an immeadiete step back. Though out of habbit she slunk forwards, knowing the punishment for not listening to Spiral.
Fire watched in confusion. "You shouldn't be so rude to a girl." He meowed at Spiraleyes.
Oakgrove shook her head at Fire that Burns Brightly. She liked him and she didn't want him to be hurt by her own abuser, 'Don't worry about me,' she mouthed to him.
Fire shook his head. "No, I wont stand for this. Ask nicely." He growled.
Spiraleyes growled at the tom. "No. She's mine," He glared at Oakgrove, "You shouldn't be making friends young lady. They'll be wonderign where you are when your with me," He turned his attention back to Fire. "Now butt out and I may decide to leave you alone,"
Fire snarled. "Oh yeah? Why don't you try it!"
"No!" She yowled. She butted her head against Spiraleye's shoulder "Leave him alone!" she growled. She felt power flickering through her body as she finaly faced him up. "You don't have any of yours servants to hold me back now!"
Fire growled and stepped towards Spiraleyes. "You'll leave if YOU know whats good for you."
Spiraleyes cast Fire a swift glance. He was outnumbered and by the look of that tom he would beaten easily. He lowered his head and put it in Oakgrove's face, "No. You won't attack me. You rember those kits that your birthed? One lived and I let it go wander to one of those clans. Harm me and I'll go kill that kit,"
Fire caught what he said. "If you do ANYTHING then I will tear out your throat, or, I can always kill you now?" He snarled.
Oakgrove felt her body turn numb. She let out a sharp gasp and stumbled backwards. One of them lived? She thought back to that horrid mind. Her mouth had the foul taste, and Blood Ice was leaping towards the last kit but before she saw what happened she had blacked out. What had happened?
The young Tribe she-cat looked around. She noticed her Tribemate, Fire, but was too nervous to talk to him just yet. She noticed a commotion, and, brow furrowed, stood up and padded over to them. Turning to Fire, she asked, "What's going on here?"
"This tom... Can you not guess? He kills... He likes to kill. I'm guessing the tom and the she-cat are mates, but she does not... like him..."
Spiraleyes glanced at Fire that Burns Brightly. Fear flashed over him again. He growled and his paws lashed out claws unsheathed as he caught Oakgrove's face. Laughing he whipped around and bounded away, his tail weaving behind him.
She gulped. "Do you think he... forced her?" Then she glanced at Oakgrove, and took a step closer to her.
"Yes." Fire hissed to Shining Star at Midnight, running after Spiraleyes. "Come back and I'll rip that smile from your face, coward!"
Oakgrove hung her head. Her life wasn't realy just now ruined, it had been ruined when she met Spiraleyes. A harsh laugh came from her as she remembered the day she was fooled by him. He was charming and nice, a decent tom at the time.
She mewed comfortingly to Oak. "Don't worry. You'll be fine now.. He won't hurt you with us around." Though, she said this with more confidence than she felt. She herself was only a prey hunter!
Spiraleyes glanced behind him. He nearly shrieked as he realised how close Fire was. Turning his attention back to where he was running he saw the tree looming over him. He jerked his paws infront of him and skidded to a half, a half inch away from hitting the tree.
Fire smirked, stopping to face Spiraleyes. "Finally, the coward stops."
Spiraleyes blinked at Fire. He wasd capable of bullying a she-cat not fighting off a large tom. That what his servants were for. Yowling, and not knowing what he was doing he launched himself at Fire that Burns Brightly with sheathed claws. His fighting level at zero, as well was his smartness.
Fire lunged forwards, landing onto his back and kicked his hind paws up, claws un-sheathed.
Fire padded into the small clearing, twitching his whiskers and yawning. He smiled, licking a forepaw and bringing it over his head.
