The golden tom cat's tail flicked, his green eyes staring around the mostly quiet camp. A few cats continued to be awake in the clearing. His green eyes searched the black forest. A smile slid onto his badly scarred face. He stood silently, like a lionhearted phantom and slid into the consuming darkness. Suneagle turned silently and stalked into the forest.
The light gray tabby ShadowClan leader padded in and sat in a small clearing. Moonlight shone down on her pelt, illuminating it silver.
Suneagle crawled trough the forest, his white belly brushing the forest floor, the leaves tickling him gently. His white paws plodded almost silently on the well trod on ground of the woods. He gazed up at the moon, his golden pelt turning pale against the harsh white glow. His torn ears flicked forward with interest. A gray she-cat stood in the distance, and she smelled of Shadowclan. He wrinkled his nose but slid forward.
Shadestar looked at her surroundings, the scent of RiverClan seeming to be nearby. Her tail-tip flicked and and turned around to see the figure of a golden cat approaching her, his face badly scarred, presumably from being attacked by an animal much larger than a cat.
She narrowed her eyes, trying to get a better look at the RiverClan cat.
The corner of his mouth, curled in a teasing smile as he looked over the she-cat. He quickly got over her Shadowclan stench, his tail twitched and he stood up staight and padded into glow of the moonlight. His dark green eyes, glinting in the white light. They were the only resemblance between him and his father. And they carried every attribute his father's once had. Bold, teasing, flirty.
She couldn't help but grin at the RiverClan tom. His face may have been torn and scarred, but his eyes had the light of a kit. She wondered what he was doing, just standing there.
His white paws kneaded the leafy ground softly. Suneagle's green eyes glanced up and down the she-cat. He had to admit she was quite a stunning she-cat. Her fur was a sleek gray, with bold dark stripes and blue eyes. The tom cat smirked, "I'm Suneagle." The riverclan warrior meowed smoothly, his tail lashing with excitement.
"My name's Shadestar." She could sense Suneagle's excitement coming off in waves, and her ears twitched with amusement. Suneagle, the name sounded familiar, though she had never met this cat.
His smile dropped, suddenly self conscious about his grotesque scars. Quickly, Suneagle put a paw to his face and bowed his head deeply. Not out of respect of a leader, but of shame of his ugly face. "Oh! Forgive me, Shadestar, my face must be hideous to such a stunning cat." He meowed, hiding his face.
She tilted her head. The scars were quite a sight, but he still had a charm to him. "No...Not at all." She shook her head and smiled. "Don't worry about it."
He straightened up again, his white tail tip twitching from side to side. He looked at her, his ears in a frenzy of twitching and swiveling. (Owlstar did that yesterday with his ears x33) He straitened his back and looked her dead in the eye with a strong confidence. His tail lashed hard enough for the tip of his tail to tap his flanks with each wave. "Well, I've heard of you from gatherings." His wide smile broadened, "Your leader of ShadowClan."
"Yes, I'm the ShadowClan leader." Her whiskers twitched in amusement. She could tell the golden cat was very excited, though she wasn't sure why. "You are in RiverClan, correct?"
"Born and raised!" He announced, proudly. His white chest puffing out in pride. "I was made a warrior, but I'm older then I look. I suffered a few moons of memory loss." His whiskers twitching as he looked at her carefully.
"Eh, I jumped into a river and bumped my head. I don't really remember. My old mentor pulled me out of the water, and well there I was as daft a kitten without his mother." He shrugged, not being with his mother much during his apprentice days but he could remember a pleasant face and warm belly.
"Who's your mother?" She thought for a moment. Maybe she knew Suneagle's mother, and that's why the name sounded familiar.
"My mother is Blueestar, and my father is Owlstar. They're kinda known all around if they ask me." His tail continued to twitch as he sat down calmly, "I kind of have a little celebrity family to say the least." He chuckled softly.
She grinned. "I'm actually good friends with Owlstar and Blueestar. Your mother and I have been friends since before we were leaders, and Owlstar was one of my first friends."
Suneagle smiled brilliantly, his pearly white catching some moonlight. "They were good to me." He purred, padding up towards Shadestar. "They taught me a lot of things before I was an apprentice." Suneagle sat down, his tail curling over his white paws. A timid breeze wound itself through the ancient trucks of the forest.
She nodded. "They're good cats." She smiled as he sat next to her. She purred quietly. "You definitely take after your father, personality wise."
The RiverClan warrior chuckled softly, rolling over onto his back in an almost playful manner. But he actually enjoyed looking up at the stars with their glimmering faces always winking down at you with their starry silence. He sighed, "Sometimes being like him can take to your appearance. We were both mauled by the same wolf..." One of his white paws touched his face.
"The same wolf? Wow.." She followed his gaze to the stars. There were many more out than that one star from before. She lied down and rolled onto her back for an easier view.
Suneagle smiled at her quietly, his dark green eyes glinting slightly. His white paws rested on his chest and he let out a sigh. "You know, I'd never think of meeting such a nice cat in ShadowClan, so many nursery stories about you being so vicious." He shrugged, shifting to look at her. "You can't believe to all the stories you hear."
She grinned. "Oh, I can be vicious. Befriend a cat, then..." She flipped onto her belly and tackled Suneagle, pinning him with her teeth to his neck. She let out a vicious snarl and then moved her teeth, a purr rumbling from her chest. "You just never know."
His eyes widened slightly, but he smiled a laugh coming from his parted mouth. It was a smooth, but slightly more respectful laugh. "You look brilliant when your angry." He leaned forward, "And... I like it when you're rough." Suneagle purred thickly, his whiskers twitching.
"You like it, hm?" She leaned forward and nibbled his ear lightly.
Suneagle purred roguishly, giving her chin a swift lick traveling up to her cheek until he licked her nose. He pressed his nose to hers, his dark eyes holding a strong glimmer. "I do, like it." The young cat meowed, smiling.
She purred and looked into his eyes. She could feel the warmth of his pelt against hers.
His long tail stroked her side gently. His smile widened, the tips of his curled fangs poking from beneath his lips. "This isn't right for us, to be here." He purred, pressing his nose to hers. "I'm RiverClan and your ShadowClan."
"I know...But...It feels right." It was soothing to feel his tail stroking her side. So comforting.
He stared into her eyes, a toying smirk on his scarred face. "If we got caught, it wouldn't be good for either of us." Suneagle smiled, "But I could just stare at you all night."
"So could I." She let out another soft purr and brushed her muzzle against his cheek.
The tom purred softly, his green eyes half closed. "I'm supposed to be in camp tonight," he breathed in to her ear, his voice like soft velvet. "I have to be there when dawn breaches the sky." Suneagle licked her cheek gently and began to get back up.
"Oh...You have to go now?" She sat up, wrapping her fluffy tail over her paws.
He rubbed against her shoulder affectionately, his dark eyes glowing. "Yeah, but I'll be around in this forest the exact same time." His tail coiled around her quickly, and he turned around giving a fleeting glance over his shoulder before hurrying off into the darkness.
