Rain spattered down upon the cold, asphalt ground, and inched down every tall skyscraper-like building that surrounded the dark road. Making little tinks as they fell, they painted the smoggy, nighttime sky blue, purple, and several shades of yellows whilst they made their way towards a bitter end. A bitter end, with which they would plop into the puddles of their already fallen colleagues, and mesh their way into an un-identifiable mass of droplets. Once trapped in these compacted paddles, the groups either rolled into nearly bottomless pits, called sewers, or got trapped behind something. If trapped, they may make it back into the sky only to go through yet another scarring pattern of pain, and emotionally unstable toil. Still, the shining raindrops always seemed to set the mood. Whether the drops themselves were happy or sad, the mood always seemed depressing.
Barely heard under the roaring, and depressing weather, pawpads rushed through the icy, city river that had built itself up on the road. A scared panting echoed through the alleyway, only to reveal a tiny she-cat that was horror-strucken, missing fur in some places, and as oily as can be. The young cat drew up his whiskers, and gently trudged through the cold. He glanced around, awe-strucken, but also paralyzed by fear when he intook his surroundings.
Muffled barks emerged from the alleyway, followed by a pack of neighborhood mutts. Their muscles rippled under their thin, soaked pelts as they ripped through the wet, icy shield, after the kitten. They were big, and mean. some of them had fur clumps in their mouth from messing with the cat earlier. And, the biggest flaw of them all, was that they were all bonething. Most likely chasing the poor kitten for food. They would stop at almost nothing to get her, and rip the flesh from her poor, mangled body. The kitten knew this.
Completely fuled by horror, the poor, small cat darted underneath a parked car. He hid his short tail under his body, and waited to see if the dogs would be able to get him. They could. The smallest dog squeezed his head under the car, and viciously started to snap at the poor kitten. She mewled for help, but when recieving none, pelted towards the street.
A screech, a scream, then nothing but the sound of dogs barking victorious. A mangled, crushed kitten's body lie near the edge of the car it had just tried to escape from. Bloody tire marks showed that a car had done this work, and surrounding the cat, were nearly ten vicious dogs. They all started to rip through the kitten with a satisfied look on their face. That kitten was no more.
