{EPIC LIKE 5 PERSON RP}
Rosepaw sat in stiff anticipation. Her tail brushed the flank of Stingkit, she watched him carefully with a solid green gaze. A creaky smile lit her white face as she laid down delicately in the browning leaves. The smell of leaf mold hung in her nostrils, but it was a familiar and fresh scent. Gently, she nudged the tom kit closer to the crook of her belly. His soft head nuzzled her stomach, making a unanticipated purr to be released. Then, suddenly a different sensation took territory over her original loving feeling. Something she could only describe as motherliness. A triumphant mrrow went through her. Little Stingkit was suckling.
Blueestar sucked in a deep breathe, dawn was approaching. Straightening up she started making her way into the forest, her nose twitching. She set a swift pace where she met her daughter earlier.
The apprentice gloated over her accomplishment with glinting eyes. A proud, almost show offy, smile took territory to the main part of her face. For just a moment she was mute to everything but her inner boasting. She had succeeded in, something that the leader of Thunderclan did not think possible. She nearly growled at the humor of it.
Sapphirepaw lay on her branch in lazy pride. Her left eye drooped open in a tiny slit, and she glared down at her sister. Resentment coursed through her delicate body, and she neatly hopped down the the tree branch. She strode toward her pitiful sister, and glowered down at the kit from behind Rosepaw. "What in StarCln are you doing? Your not a mother, how do your breasts produce milk?" she snarled in disgust. Before her sister realized who it was, Sapphirepaw shot out her paw and nudged Rosepaw hard in the shoulder. The dainty cat snickered, and hopped backward from an opposing lash out of the paw.
Blueestar caught the scent of her daughter and she hurried on. She caught the scent of milk, How did she pull it off? she also caught the scent of Sapphirepaw. A snarl rippled through her throat as she pushed on harder. Skidding into the clearing she growled at Sapphirepaw, "Leave my family alone,"
The tortoiseshell snarled and spat in her direction. "Go rot in a hole!" Rosepaw snarled, her ivory teeth bared in equal terror and fury. "Go back to the hell hole you crawled out of!" The apprentice stanced herself over Stingkit. Her pelt was puffed up twice the size it usually was, her claws etched marks in the ground.
Ember snickered as he slid in next to his sister. "I must say Blueestar, you seem quite fine with knowing the fate of your kits. You put on a good show," He leaned forward. "I wonder what is really going on in that mind of yours,"
Wickedfeather lept off and sat in the shadows, his fur a bit ruffled. His eyes were dazed in amazement at Rosepaw. She actually pulled it off! Shes feeding Stingkit! He blinked and watched them from a very shorts distance away.
"Mother!" Rosepaw gasped in surprise, momentarily replacing her stare from her sick minded sister to her protective mother. Her chest heaved in stress, and with lightning quickness she scooped up Stingkit and rushed to the leader's side with almost shameful fear of what Sapphirepaw would do to her kit. HER kit. She knew it was true, no one would hurt him.
She chuckled in a tinkling voice of beauty that could NOT belong to such a monster, but it did. Sapphirepaw paced pridefully, and smiled. "I'd go back to hell, but they'd just kick me out again," she sniggered maliciously. Her eyes scanned her sister once again before locking on the kit. "Maybe next time I'll drag that demon with me, I'm sure he'd be accepted in a second," she mumbled, with half truth, showing she had the intention of killing him. "Shut up, you crybaby!" she roared, stalking up to her past family, ready to bring her claws across any of their weakest points.
Blueestar, distracted form Sapphirepaw glared at Ember. She refused to let this cat get inside of her. She lashed out a paw and scored her claws against his face, "How is that for whats going on in my mind."
He unsheathed his claws, his nostrils flaring as Sapphirepaw stalked towards hem. He was about a heartbeat away from slashing at her face. Crouching to spring he let out a soft growl then he stopped himself in time, as his muscles had tensed. No. He told himself. This is not your fight.
Glacierstorm glanced at Wickedfeather, then turned to Sapphirepaw. She was the cat she gave the two Voles to yesterday, and now she regretted it. Her teeth clenched, watching, her eyes flicking between every movement.
He let his fur lay flat, though it took him some effort. He sheathed his claws but lashed his tail back and forth.
Ember jerked his head back, she was good at this game. Ignoring the blood dripping off his face he stepped up to Sapphirepaw. "We should go. We can make them pay more than we could now... later," He hissed for only her ears.
Rosepaw settled Stingkit between her paws. She would die, she would be burned alive, she would let a thousand claws cut her skin before even thinking of giving up her kit. Her whiskers quivered nervously, the situation was getting more worked up with each moment. Nearly her entire family had jointed up once more, but without her aging father and memory stricken brother they were not all together again.
She grinned at all the attention, and crouched down, ready to spring. "That kit is mine," she snarled hoarsely, in a voice that could belong to none other than Satan. She dug her claws into the ground, then sprang toward Rosepaw, fed up with her recent troubles today. Her claws were in the very front of the leap, until she finally landed on Rosepaw. She dug her talon-like claws into her sister's chest on either side.
Blueestar let out a wild snarl, fearing Ember was to aid her she leaped at him. She slashed her claws along his shoulders, "I would feel no guilt for killing you. You are not my kin,"
The apprentice shrieked with rage and she immediately lunged for her sister's throat. The thought of the pulse of blood beneath the, oh so soft skin. She could kill, she wanted the blood to run through her fur. The hot feeling drowned out her fear as she snapped at her sister's throat. Ever closer, her mind whispered. Rosepaw pushed with her strength, the pain of what a loss it would be to loose Stingkit coursed through her veins.
Ember hissed and whipped around, he lashed his claws out and tore at her throat. The cut wasn't deep enough to kill, but it should provide some blood loss.
Sapphirepaw yowled, and pulled one of her paws from Rose's chest, before raking it across the tortoiseshell's face. Anger rose in her eyes, but past it the lust for that kit burned even hotter. The silver she-cat's head ripped through the air in pursuit for Rosepaw's throat, but she missed, just barely, only nicking it slightly.
Blueestar chocked as blood started seeping out of the wound. She stumbled backwards, falling down on her rump as she hung her head. Peering up she glowered at Ember, he wouldn't hesitate to kill her.
From blundering through the unknown forest for so many days, he couldn't remember a thing of who he was or what he was. Was he cat? What is the name of anything was a cat? Or was he one of those russet things he saw in the woods. He could hunt. He'd seen himself do it. But what good was that when he had no memory of anything else. Then the screeches of battle reached his pricked his ears. What a curious case! He thought dully, and he immediately closed into the sound with ease. He saw it with what he knew were green eyes. Fighting cats. He was sure they were cats. And he wanted to fight to. The feeling was so alien he nearly yelped in surprise. But what ever his feelings were, he was already running as fast he believed he had ever run. He slammed into the side of a silvery she-cat with horrid looking eyes, full of evil.
Ember paused. He didn't need the wrath of Thunderclan... and Riverclan... not yet. Besides his mother could be of some use to them after a while. He sat down, waiting for his sister to finish.
"Sunpaw!" Rosepaw yowled in shock, she ushered her kit quickly beneath a pile of leaves as she was freed from her sister's grasp. Rage continued to coarse through her veins. "Come now, brother! Let us fight someone evil!" The last word was spat out with disdain.
Sapphirepaw was thumped against, and thrown onto the groun. She snarled violently at her attacker, only to see a more-than-confused Sunpaw. Eyes full of confusion, she prodded at him with un-sheathed claws.
"I'm Sunpaw?" He mulled over it for a second, and he nearly didn't feel the claws. "Hey! Why'd you prod me?" His golden brow creased at the center, "What was that for?" But before he knew it, a very unearthly sound came from his throat. He snarled. The golden tom didn't know why he snarled. He just did! To even more of shock, a smile curled his whiskers upward. And lunged at the silvery she-cat with a vigor unknown to him.
Ember turned his head in surprise, no. Racing to his paws, he went for Rosepaw. He had his doubts on overtaking Sunpaw, but his sister was closer anyway. He lashed out at his sister, than wondered if she knew who he was.
Sapphirepaw's eye widened in surprise, but she quickly adjusted. Her back legs unsheathed their claws, and she ran them across her brother's belly from underneath. Crimson blood droplets oozed out lazily from his belly, but he didn't seem to mind. Un-phased by her failure, Sapphirepaw lifted her front legs, and brought down unsheathed paws over her brother's face repeatedly.
The Thunderclan apprentice was all to defending her kit from Sapphirepaw as much as she was to defending him against the ferocious looking brown tabby. She took in a mouthful of his scent and realization hit him. His brother! His awkward, darkness seeking brother. She groaned inwardly. She was getting tired of family. Rosepaw's white claws flashed, and she brought them down on the top of the tabby's head, slicing downwards.
Blueestar coughed and slumped further to the ground. Her head now resting on the ground as she watched the fight of all of her kits, helpless nothing she could do. She was ashamed, she couldn't take care of them.
Ember jerked his head backwards, "How is it going sister? Enjoying life?" He cackled. He darted forward and raked his claws across her shoulder before darting quickly out of the way.
"Ow! That hurt! Whats wrong with you!" He exclaimed in befuddlement at her continued attacks, blood ran into his eyes temporarily blinding him. He shook droplets lets of blood from his brow and he raised his voice to a pained howl. "I don't like it when you scratch me!" He reared and bowled her over. His claws met the under part of her legs as he pinned her brutily to the ground. Sunpaw bared his teeth and dug them into his sister's neck.
"I'm enjoying it more then you ever will, you monster!" She raged, feeling the hot feeling heat her limbs once more. She whipped out and her claws grazed his flank as he passed her.
Ember panted. He wasn't even sure he wanted to be in this fight. He didn't want them dead yet, it would be more fun to take them away from their families, giving them more pain. He sucked in a breathe and looked at Sapphirepaw, "Lets kill them another time," he whipped around and darted away. A battle lost, but it would still leave the winners with wounds and make them weaker for whenever the two siblings decided to rage war.
Sunpaw leaped back as the silvery she-cat bolted from beneath him. He could still taste her blood on his tongue and the smell of the bleeding wound in his nose. But now, he no longer knew his purpose or who he was. But he was fairly certain he was a cat, and his name was Sunpaw.
Owlstar glided in with the skill of one who had chosen to roam silently in shadows. The one-eyed cat crouched over the gray leader and with gentle care he licked her cheek. He breathed softly through his nose, he could smell her breath and the steady thump of her heart beat was clear. He laid himself beside her, and tended to her neck by licking to smoothly. He paused for a moment then rested his head on his mangled paw.
Berrypaw dashed in with a mouth full of herbs. She went over to the blue gray body fighting the tears.
She went to work chewing the marigold to a pulp and rubbed the precious juice into the wound. Then she put on wild garlic to keep infection out of the wound. Berrypaw wrapped her wound with cobwebs the white patch on Blueestar's neck was awkward.
Blueestar let out an uncoherent mumble that sounded like 'I failed,'
"You will be fine," the she-cat reassured her leader and pushed the thyme and poppyseeds near her limp body, "CAn you eat these for me?"
Blueestar still unconcious muttered something else before letting out a small moan. 'dead....Shrew...'
"Shhh..." Owlstar shushed gently, in her ear. "No one failed." He gave her ear a lick and he sat up. The would looked patched up well enough, normally he would have trusted only the finest healers he knew but an apprentice would do for now. He gave his thick fur a shake, he glanced at his two kits. One with memory loss. and... one with a kit. He had only just found out but it was shock to him. He bent down and whispered, "I'll be around." Then he straightened and padded out in the same direction he came.
Rosepaw thought she saw the ginger bulk of her father out of the corner of her eyes but she shook the thought away. She searched through the leaves briefly, and picked up a quivering Stingkit. His blue eyes took in the blood on her pelt and he wailed thinly. She hushed him gently, the apprentice turned creakily and draped her tail over her brother's shoulders. "Come, brother. I'll lead you." She padded slowly toward her mother and placed Stingkit gently on the dry leaves. The tortoiseshell nuzzled her mother's side, "Mother? Can you wake up?"
Blueestar groaned, and her eyes fluttered open. "Ugh, he sure does know how to use his claws,"
Tears sprung to her green eyes and she buried her face in her mother's fur. She whimpered shamefully, "Mother, I want to go home." She cried softly, "I don't want to live alone out here. I don't want to have Stingkit in danger, I don't want to feel hungry when I sleep." Rosepaw pressed against Blueestar like a lost kit, just wanting a comforting word or a reason not to cry.
Blueestar faintly raised her paw and rested it on Rosepaw's shoulder. "You are always welcome home," She rolled over so she wsasn;t on her side, "If you help me up we can take you and Stingkit back home." Blueestar looked at Crowpaw, she wasn't sure how to say this... "Ember attacked me, he is some rogue just jealous of my family," She would keep Sapphirepaw out of this, she knew the friendship that Crowpaw and Sapphirepaw had always shared.
The tear-stained apprentice shakily got to her paws and picked up Stingkit daintily. Rosepaw nudged her mother up slightly, using her youthful strength to supply a shoulder to lean on. She turned her had and called over to Sunpaw, "Come along, Sunpaw!" The tortoiseshell meowed, and then she turned again in the direction of camp. Maybe someday their family would patch together again, but at least today they were more then they were.
